MEASURING GUIDE FOR GRAYWIND SMART OUTDOOR SHADES
Measuring for your new blinds couldn't be simpler. It's an easy way to save lots of money and takes just minutes. All you have to do is follow our easy, step-by-step guides. The video guide is provided at the bottom of page.
Choose Your Mount Type
Ceiling Mount
1. Measure Depth：Measure at the depth within the frame where you'll install the brackets. Minimum 3 2/5 inches depth is required for Ceiling Mount. When install depth less than 2 15/16 inches, the shade will extend beyond the window frame.
2. Measure Width：Measure the openness width across the top, middle and bottom to make more accurate, take note of the smallest measurement to 1/16 inch.
3. Measure Height：Measure the height of window openness from top to sill across right, middle and left, take down the smallest one to 1/8 inch.
Note: Outdoor shades will have no deductions taken at the factory. They will be made according to your exact measurements.
Side Mount
1. Measure Depth：Check the extended window casing depth, if there are handles or cranks, don't forget to take them into account.
2. Measure Width：Measure the width of area you want to cover. Recommend adding 1-6 inches based on openness width to ensure light control and privacy.
3. Measure Height：Measure the desired height of area you want to cover and record the measurement. Leave at least 3 3/8 inches to allow for valance height and mounting area above the window.
Note: Outdoor shades will have no deductions taken at the factory. They will be made according to your exact measurements.
