MEASURING GUIDE FOR GRAYWIND SMART ZEBRA BLINDS
Measuring for your new blinds couldn't be simpler. It's an easy way to save lots of money and takes just minutes. All you have to do is follow our easy, step-by-step guides. The video guide is provided at the bottom of page.
Choose Your Mount Type
INSIDE MOUNT
1. Measure Depth：Minimum 1 7/8 inch depth is required for Inside Mount. When install depth less is than 2 3/4 inches and you chose with valance style, the valance will extend beyond the window frame.
*Please consider special structure like sash windows and handles or cranks, don’t forget to measure them and make allowances.2. Measure Width：Measure the width of window openness across the top, middle and bottom to make more accurate, take note of the smallest measurement to 1/16 inch.
*Tiles, skirting board or decorative trims also should be considered.allowances.3. Measure Height：Measure the height of window openness from top to sill across right, middle and left, take down the smallest one to 1/8 inch.
Note: Inside mount shade & blinds will have a small deduction automatically applied by the manufacturer to ensure proper fit.
OUTSIDE MOUNT
1. Measure Depth：Measure the extended window casing depth, if there are handles or cranks, don't forget to take them into account. We have four combinations of brackets and roll directions to make a 4/5-3 7/10 inches allowance.
2. Measure Width：Measure and take down the width of window openness includ ing the frame/molding if there is one. Add 1-3 inches for each side ( 2-6 inches total overlap) to ensure light control and privacy.
3. Measure Height：Measure and take down the height of window openness from top to sill. Add at least 3 inches to allow for valance height and mounting area above the window.
Note: Outside mount shades & blinds will have no deductions taken at the factory. They will be made according to your exact measurements.
