We did our research on competitors and were happy that we purchased Graywind. I purchased one shade, motorized, for our laundry room and it looks great. Everything seems to be of good quality and we liked it so much we bought 4 more blackout roller shades for our bedroom and another two roman shades for a guest bedroom. The motors come pre-programmed and installation is a cinch, but if you need help with installation or programming the motor, the support team is very responsive and eager to help. Good company and quality product.
"Pros: For reference my shade is approx. 74” wide, In blackout with the weighted (grey) bottom. I also splurged on a solar charging option as this window gets the maximum amount of sunlight. I also got the 15 channel remote. The shade is of great quality. You can immediately tell after removing from the packaging. The size and accuracy of measurements are perfect. Especially when you follow the instructions they give you prior to purchasing. Heat and light blockage are superb, note I choose to have the shade roll mounted outside the window versus inside. Also, I had the roll come down on the backside versus the front for maximum light blocking.
Cons: The brackets that attach to the valance are not super strong individually. Due to my shade being so large. I misjudged it being secure on one end and it came down partially, completely bending one bracket. They do however give multiple brackets and you only need two for one of this size. I would highly recommend a second persons help for larger shades.
The remote set up is a bit challenging and requires a small learning curve. I did not get Alexa or other home assist on mine so programming the remote is going to take some time. The Greywinds app is also an option, but I would not rely on it, as there are some bugs in the software that still need tuning.
This is a pricier option. However, when compared to cheaper ones that require cutting, install time, and labor I would go this route again. It’s more convenient and looks professionally installed.
Recommendations: when measuring for length of the shade do 6” or 7” longer than what you need. You can program a limit stop for both up and down when using the app or remote, so extra won’t hurt.
Shipped using DHL and they required a signature for receipt. be advised. It also takes a few weeks for them to make the shade and ship it."
These blinds arrived in a flash. Packaged very well and fairly easy instructions. FOLLOW them. I did not and had to reprogram them.

These shades are beautiful and we are really happy with them. They easily connected to my Zigbee controller and have a smooth operation. Also, I accidentally factory reset the shade roller and the Graywind support quickly assisted in getting the shade working correctly again.
I have had problems with the battery state reporting but I am not using the recommended Zigbee controller or traditional home automation solution. Also, this was an experimental purchase as our window frame is not as deep as the cassette and we knew this might be an issue for privacy. Be aware that Roman Shade roller pulls from the furthest point from the window and the fabric is cut to allow about a 1/2" gap between it and the window frame. Thus, the shade will hang as far from the window as the front of the cassette and, if your window frame is only deep enough to mount the shade and not accommodate the entire cassette depth, there will be a large gap of which you can see out the window from the sides (at an angle). In that situation, I would recommend an outside mount or a roller shade (which we have also purchased and love) because they roll closest to the window.
Great product!
